Projects

Side projects. Built outside of client work.

Most of my day is spent on ecommerce. These are the small, self-contained web apps I build in the gaps — usually because I wanted the thing to exist and nobody had made it the way I wanted.

Mottled

Mood diary

mottled.app

A minimal mood diary. You log how the day felt by picking a colour — no scales, no journaling prompts, no streaks to maintain. Open it once, tap a swatch, close it. Weekly, monthly and yearly views surface patterns over time.

Local-first by default, with optional email sign-in for cloud backup. Installs as a home-screen app so check-ins take a second, not a minute.

Quizine

Kitchen knowledge trainer

quizine.app

A short-form quiz app for home cooks. Quick rounds on technique, knives, fats, temperatures, plus coffee, wine, beer and what to drink with what. Each question comes with a brief explanation, and difficulty nudges itself up or down based on how you're doing.

Free, no account needed, and installable on mobile. Built for the kind of learning you do in five-minute gaps.

Shared meal planner

pickaplate.app

A meal planner for two. Both people share the same list of favourites and the same week ahead — so the nightly "what do you fancy?" conversation has somewhere to land instead of going in circles.

Passwordless sign-in by email, synced across devices. Built for households that cook together but don't want yet another app to argue with.
