I have occupied the position of a Business Analysis for a variety of organisations with a focus on digital & ecommerce properties; drawing on an extensive technical background as a developer and technical lead, and the practical application of conversion rate optimisation and behavioural analysis to deliver real business value.

I’ve functioned as an Ecommerce Business Analyst for agencies, global media corporations and early stage startups. Throughout the varied projects I have participated in market rollouts, payment gateway implementations, custom reporting, warehouse moves, ERP implementations, and full replatforms.
Experience on both the client side of various organisations and on the supply side of platform delivery, I am able to provide deep domain knowledge to the requirements gathering & engineering process; understanding logistical, technical and process constraints and optimisation.
I am experienced and adept at the following: facilitating and directing workshops, interviews, prototyping (including web applications), running focus groups, document & process analysis.
Having spent a number of years in ecommerce and digital publishing, I’ve had exposure to a range of platforms and been witness to the varied pros & cons, where I am able to accurately match business requirements up with systems functionality, and whether a technical solution or a business process change is more efficient.
Data Interfacing & APIs
I have extensive experience of system interfaces & ecosystems both from technical implementations and a business process perspectives, where I have defined integrations using webservices in various forms of EDI, to export and consume data from numerous systems.
I have architected full ecommerce ecosystems that include order & inventory management, payment gateways, ERPs, WMS, CRMs and Email Service Providers, with full measurement frameworks.
I have produced a number of functional specification documents for ecommerce platforms & content management systems in a waterfall environment, and I am highly experienced with producing user stories and test criteria in an Agile environment; where I am certified as both a Product Owner and a Scrum Master.
Having worked on the “other side of the fence” implementing and testing user stories at a code level, provides me with the unique perspective and experience of how to write efficient developer & tester friendly user stories.
